The Pool at
Oakwoods was completely renovated in 2007 including a
repainting of the pool surface, a new rubberized
flooring around the pool and a new fence. There are
numerous lounge chairs to relax in as well as patio sets
with umbrellas for those who want to stay in the shade.
The main pool area is Olympic sized with a diving board
and there is also a kiddie pool area for the little
ones. Lifeguards for the main pool are on duty at all
times.
The OCC pool
season is Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. The
pool is available to all members and their immediate
families at no charge. Fees apply to all guests. Fee for
in town guest is $5.00 and out of town guest is $3.00.
Members must sign themselves and their guest in at the
gate when arriving. All guests are limited to six visits
per season. The telephone is located in the snack bar
for business and emergency calls only. Please limit
calls to three minutes.
Immediate
family, as currently defined by the Board of Governors,
includes spouse, children, grandchildren, and parents
whom reside in the members home on a permanent basis.
Family members whom are not considered immediate family
will be charged $5.00 per usage. Private pool parties
may be arranged through the Club General Manager. All
teenage parties must be booked and chaperoned by one
parent of the group. Guests may be included in private
parties but are the responsibility of the host. Guests
will be charged a $3.00 guest fee. There is a lifeguard
fee of $35.00 per hour (minimum of two hours) for all
pool parties extending past regular pool hours.
The OCC
General Manager and lifeguards are in complete charge of
the pool at all times. They have the authority and
obligation to see that all pool regulations, as
established and approved by the Board of Governors, are
followed to insure the safety of all members and their
guests. Horseplay will not be tolerated. Violators will
be restricted from the use of the pool.
Coolers and
food and beverages are allowed to be brought to the
pool. All non-members must be accompanied by a member of
the Club. It is against OCC policy for members to allow
