OCC members have ample opportunity each year to attend many exciting social events and activities.  The following events have either occurred or are planned for the 2011 - 2012 fiscal year:

Halloween Party, October 28th 2011

$10 per member if RSVP by 5 pm October 25th, $13 at door, $13 per guest

Join all the other spooks, ghosts, and goblins at this year's frightening gathering! 7:00 until the "witching hour." You'll have a SPOOK-TACULAR time! All kinds of brews, potions, and foodstuffs from Dracula's table, provided by the BBQ and Brew Crew, available. Costumes encouraged; best costume takes home $100.

Christmas Party December 5th 2009, 7:00 PM

Free for members, $10 Guest/no food, $5 Guest w/food

This is a family-centric, NO SMOKING event so bring the entire family!  It's also a covered dish, crock-pot, buffet style dinner so  EACH FAMILY SHOULD BRING A DISH, (or three!). This is an opportunity to show off your cooking skills and pamper fellow members with some great food!

We would like for members to RSVP online early for this event, letting us know what entrees, sides, and/or desserts you plan to bring. The last box of the online registration form is a COMMENT box, enter your dishes here, and click the "current RSVPs" link to see what others are bringing.

• If you can't RSVP online, please call the pro shop to sign up and let us know what you plan to bring.

• Dinner served at 7:00 pm; have your dishes in place no later than 6:45 pm; bring serving utensils appropriate to your dish.

• Kelly and crew will provide drinks, dinnerware, and logistical support.

• No door charge for members, $10 for guests (guests are welcome!), $5 for guests bringing a dish.

• Various door prizes and surprises.
  No band or DJ, just an entertainment system set up to play appropriate seasonal music.

• Club decorated beautifully for the holiday season.

• Treat bags for kids aged 13 and under.

Note that this is a NO SMOKING, family-friendly event. The success of this event depends on attendees committing to registering as early as possible, and bringing one or more dishes to the table. It is anticipated that, appropriate to the season, the lounge will become an increasingly celebratory environment as the evening lengthens so plan accordingly.

Please call the Club as soon as you get this email and sign-up. If you can't decide until Saturday, come anyway! We'll be there.

New Year's Eve Party, December 31st 2009, 8:00 PM

$60 per Member Couple, $30 Member Single
$70 per Guest Couple, $35 Guest Single

8:00 p.m. until you’re partied out! This is Wilkes Countie's only New Years Eve celebration, and will be a fantastic evening of fun and frolic with our membership family. Please support this event if at all possible. WHAT BETTER PLACE TO BRING IN THE NEW YEAR THAN OCC?

You'll be rockin' and boogie'n from 8:30 pm until 12:30 with the METRO JETHROES, a fabulous local dance and show band.

OTHER DETAILS:

• An adult-oriented, NO SMOKING event; guests welcome!

• The OCC BBQ and Brew Crew will provide an amazing array of smoked, "finger-licking good" heavy appetizers and hors' d'oeuvres. You know how good this stuff is, huh? Appetizers available at 8:00 pm.

• Membership champagne toast at midnight.

• Once the ball drops, Kelly's Cafe will provide a scrumptious midnight breakfast as she has in years past.

• Festive dining room and lounge decor.

• Kelly and crew will provide drinks, dinnerware, and logistical support.
