Randy McCoy - Clubhouse Manager and Head PGA Golf Professional
Randy began his professional golf career at Jefferson Landing Club in Jefferson, NC in 1991 where he served as an Assistant Golf Professional. Randy has been a member of the PGA of America since January of 1998. In 1999, Randy took a position with Mimosa Hills Country Club in Morganton, NC serving as an Assistant Pro there from 1999 until 2007. Randy was given the opportunity to join Oakwoods as our Head PGA Golf Pro in 2007, and has been doing an excellent job since day one. In 2008, Randy was elected by his peers to serve on the Board of Directors of the Mountains Chapter of the PGA, currently serving as that organization's Tournament Director. His certifications and achievements include being a PGA class A-1 member, 2005 Mountains Chapter Assistant Professional of the Year, and 2008-09 Mountains Chapter Tournament Director. Randy attended college at UNC Chapel Hill, Wilkes Community College, and Appalachian State University, receiving a BS in Business Administration from ASU. He resides in Wilkesboro with his family, wife Melissa, son Brendon, age 8, and daughter Addison, age 2.

Mike Mizelle - Golf Course Superintendent
OCC's course superintendent, Mike Mizelle, cut his professional teeth at North Ridge Country Club in Raleigh, NC from 1982 – 1993. He began at North Ridge as a part-time employee, but with hard work and a passion for turfgrass management he had progressed to an Assistant Superintendent position when he left for Oakwoods Country club in March, 1993. Originally from Topeka, Kansas Mike grew up in Raleigh attending Millbrook High School prior to graduating from NCSU with an Associate's Degree in Turfgrass Management with a concentration in agri-business. Mike attained Certified Golf Course Superintendent status in September, 2005. Mike resides in Wilkesboro with wife Michelle, kids Christopher, 14 years old, and Sarah, 9 years old. The Mizelle family attends Wilkesboro Baptist Church. When not on the course, Mike enjoys hunting, fishing, golf and spending time with his family.

Ernest Cotten - Controller
Ernest E. Cotton, the OCC Controller, has vast experience in the Accounting profession, and is an integral part of the Oakwoods management team. Ernest hails originally from the great state of Alabama, but has resided in Wilkes County since 1970 when he took the position of Treasurer at Gardner Mirror Company in North Wilkesboro. Ernest distinguished himself in that position until his retirement from Gardner in 1997. Ernest matriculated at Washington County High School in Chatham AL and subsequently acquired a BA in Accounting at Montenvallo University, a liberal arts college in Central Alabama, where he was a fine pitcher on college baseball team. After graduating from college in the 60's, Ernest was employed as an internal auditor by the Sheraton Hotel chain until Uncle Sam called. Ernest served from 1962 - 1964 in the US Army Special Forces, doing a 13 month tour in Vietnam. After serving his country, Ernest was employed in a number of successively more responsible positions at the Beaunit Corporation, a large textile manufacturing firm, until his relocation to Wilkes. Ernest remains very active, spending a great deal of his time coaching Wilkes County youth on the baseball diamond.

Rosilind Disney - Lounge Manager
Rosilind Disney, OCC's popular Lounge Manager, graduated from Sullivan Central High School in Bluntsville, TN in 1981 and moved to Wilkes County shortly thereafter to take a position with Nancy King Textiles in North Wilkesboro. Ros served as Shipping Department Manager there from 1982 to 1986 when she left to join American Drew Furniture, Inc. as a purchasing agent. Ros retired from Drew in 1997 when she took a full time position with OCC after having worked part-time as a bartender since the early 90's. American Drew's loss was our gain and Ros has been a valuable member of the Oakwoods team ever since. Ros has one daughter Leslie, 26, a grandson Chase, 7, and a granddaughter Lindsey, age 3. Away from work, Ros leads a very active lifestyle which includes fishing, canoeing, gardening, and "riding the river."

Kelly Brown - Events Coordinator and Kitchen Manager
Kelly Brown is a Wilkes county native and graduate of North Wilkes High School and Wilkes Community College. Prior to her employment at Oakwoods, Kelly spent time in a supervisory position at First Community Bank and as an account associate with Lowes Home Improvement, Inc. Kelly resides in Wilkesboro with her husband of twelve years, Michael, and her daughter Hailey. She enjoys many different activities including spending time with family and friends, walking, and taking an active interest in her daughter's education.
