March	Saturday	27	Club	MGA Stableford	03/24/10	$20	MGA Stableford Signup online before march 24 and save $5. Individual and team format. Register until 5 pm, Friday March 26 by calling the pro shop. Players compete for the individual prizes in their regular foursome and teams are formed via a blind draw after play is complete. Players earn 1 point for bogie, 2 for par, 4 for birdie, 6 for eagle. A zero point total is based on handicap and adjusted according to tees played. Prizes awarded to one third of field.

Participants will select a partner playing in the PGA Masters. Silent auction with hors doeuvres Friday night to determine selection positions. Bid ties decided via blind draw. Absent players may submit proxy bid, or may use cell phone to select partner. Flighted after first round, with team buy in for Sunday play. 10:00 shotgun start Saturday and Sunday. Use normal tees. Seniors at least 62 whose age plus full handicap totals 80 or more may use gold tees. Play conducted using handicaps at 75 percent of the USGA handicap. Lunch served both days. Prizes awarded to one third of field, overall winner gets green jacket.

Flighted after Saturdays round. Flight winners compete in a handicapped shootout to determine the overall winner. There will be a team buy in for Saturday play, Sunday play, and overall. There is a 10:00 shotgun start on Saturday and 12:30 shotgun start on Sunday. Lunch will be served on both days. Players at least 62 years in age whose handicap and age combined equals 80 or more may play the senior tees. Sign up online and get a $5 discount. Prizes awarded to one third of the field.

Entrants my sign up as individuals and will be paired with other individuals to create a team. Field is limited to the first 32 teams, 128 players. Everyone, players and non players, are encouraged to be a hole sponsor for $50. A 10:00 shotgun start gets you to the turn at a good time to enjoy a hamburger or hot dog for the back nine. Closest to the pin on all par threes and long drive for men, women and seniors. Senior tees for anyone 62 or older, with mulligans and red tee purchases available. Online registration closes on Sunday, June 6 and there is no discount.

July	Sunday	4	Club	Fourth of July Scramble	7/01/10	$30	Fourth of July Scramble Our annual captains choice event for the national holiday. Tees are assigned using USGA handicap with senior tees an option for anyone at least 62 whose handicap and age combine to total 80 or more. Teams that include a husband and wife or junior, age 13 or less can earn stroke advantage, producing a lower score. You may sign up online and pay $25 per player.

July	Friday - Sunday	16 - 18	Club	Mens Member Guest	7/7/10	$375	Mens Member Guest All registered participants allowed to play 1 practice round prior to event for cart fee only. This years event costs $375 per team and participants must register no later than Wednesday, July 7th. Your entry fee entitles you to lunch and dinner on Friday, breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday, with breakfast and lunch on Sunday. Other festivities include a Calcutta and DJ on Friday night, a band on Saturday night, and an awards ceremony following the tournament on Sunday. The availability of Friday tee times is determined by the order in which entry fee is received, first paid, first choice. A theme will be announced soon. Sign up early!

August	Friday	13	Private	Rainbow Center Tournament	NA	$100	Rainbow Center Tournament This is the Lovette Rhodes Memorial Tournament that benefits the Rainbow Center for Children. The tournament will will have a Texas Scramble format with an 11:00 shotgun start.
August	Wednesday	18	Club	OCC Pro Am	8/9/10	$80	OCC Pro Am OCC will make a generous donation to Hospice of Wilkes with proceeds from this event. This is a 4 man team event pairing 1 pro with an amateur brought by him or her, and 2 OCC amateurs. Hole sponsorship offers the OCC amateurs their choice of Pro to play with. The $80 entry fee includes cart, dinner, on course refreshment, and prizes. Winners awarded Pro Shop gift certificates.
August	Sunday	22	Club	Fall Couples Tournament	9/20/10	$50	Fall Couples Tournament The summer couples play concludes with this eighteen hole event. The $50 per male and female couple entry fee includes meal after play. 1 pm shotgun, captains choice, must use each partners drive at least three times per nine holes, flighted if at least 12 couples play using sum of handicaps, or low handicap plus 10 if difference between the two handicaps is at least 10. Senior tee eligible if at least 62 and age plus handicap is 80 or more.
August	Saturday - Sunday	28 - 29	Club	Wilkes County Open	8/25/10	$75	Wilkes County Open Wilkes County Open, August 28, 29, open to any resident of Wilkes County or any member of a Wilkes County golf club. 36 hole stroke play, flighted after first 18 holes. $75 entry fee, includes cart for both days. Play begins with an 11:30 tee time on Saturday and 9:00 tee time on Sunday. Prizes to one third of each flight. Winner will be crowned best golfer in Wilkes County for 2009. Register online and receive $5 discount on entry fee.

September	Saturday - Monday	4 - 6	Club	Club Championship	9/3/10	$60	Club Championship Two concurrent tournaments, a two day net tournament, the Oakwoods Cup, with entry of $50, to be held on Sat and Sun, and a three day event, the Club Championship, with entry of $60, to be held Sat through Mon. The entry fee for both events, exclusive of cart fee includes light snacks after play on all days. Carts are not mandatory and caddies are allowed. The two day event is a handicapped event, flighted after 1st day, senior division for 55 and older. The three day event is gross stroke play flighted after second day, with participants using red, gold, or blue tees. The winner of the three day event will be crowned as Club Champion. The lady, junior, or senior having the lowest score in the 3 day event crowned champion of their group. No one may compete in both events.

September	Saturday	25	Club	Bill Greene Memorial	9/22/10	$100	Bill Greene Memorial This is a memorial tournament to honor our former pro using the format that he requested. The entry fee, $100, includes carts and a meal Friday night with optional team buyin. Handicaps will be used to categorize all entrants as A, B, C, or D players and names will be drawn from each category to create a team. Handicaps will not be used during the competition and the format will be the combined score of a marker ball rotated among the players in a specified order and the best ball of the other three team members. There will be a 10 am shotgun start, and closest to the pin on all par threes with a straightest drive on one of the holes. The deadline to enter the competition is 12 noon on Wednesday, September 22. Participate and honor our PGA Professional Emeritus.

September	Tuesday	28	Club	OLGA Invitational	9/25/10	$50	OLGA Invitational Oakwoods Ladies Golf Association members may invite up to four guests. The format for this team event is low gross and low net among the four lady teams with prizes awarded to approximately one half of the field.
October	Saturday - Sunday	2 - 3	Club	Fall Member Member	9/29/10	$140	Fall Member Member Entry is $140 per two person team with a $5 per person discount when signing up online. Wings, keg, Calcutta and cash bar beginning at 7 pm Friday, Oct 1. Format is round robin, two person, better ball, match play, one point per hole and flighted using sum of handicaps. If hdcp differential is 10 or more, team hdcp will be low hdcp plus 10. Handicap of 0.0 will be assigned to entrant having no established handicap. Grand champion will be determined via handicap based shootout of all flight winners. Top two flights play blue tees, white tees for others, gold tees if age plus handicap is 80 or greater.
