Holden Abrams -  Director of Golf 
Holden grew up in Rutherfordton, NC and found the love for the game of golf at an early age. He has been active in the golf business since the age of sixteen. In 2010, he started his professional apprenticeship at New Bern Golf and Country Club as the assistant golf professional. April 2014, he accepted his first Head Professional position at Jacksonville Country Club where he obtained his

Class A certification. Holden's passion for being in this profession is not the reward of being a good player but is the outcome of creating positive impacts on the daily lives of members and guests. He has developed  a reputation as a great teacher and loves to help members with their game. Holden and his wife, Whitney reside in North Wilkesboro with their three daughters. Holden enjoys spending time with his family and pets on his down time. 


Brad St. Clair, GCSAA -  Golf Course Superintendent
Brad began his professional career at Catawba Springs (Lake Hickory) in 1994 after obtaining his Associate Degree in Turfgrass Management. With a passion for the game of golf and the great outdoors he knew he had found his calling. Through the years, Brad worked his way up to Assistant Superintendent at Catawba Springs, Brushy Mountain G.C., and eventually Oakwoods C.C. In April 2018, Brad's dream of becoming a Golf Course Superintendent became reality as he was named Golf Course Superintendent at his beloved Oakwoods. Brad and his wife, Sarah reside in Taylorsville. Brad enjoys spending time with Sarah and their adopted daughter, Chloe along with being active at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church where he serves as Deacon and drummer.

Nick Wilcox  - Clubhouse Operations Manager/Assistant Golf Professional
Nick grew up right here in Wilkes County, in Miller's Creek. After graduating West Wilkes High School, he attended Western Carolina University and graduated with a degree in Sports Management, Business, and Marketing. After college, he started his career in baseball, managing food & beverage for baseball stadiums around the country, working for the likes of the White Sox, Red Sox, Colorado Rockies, and Cincinnati Reds affiliates, the New York Yankees, and most recently, the New York Mets. Upon returning to our area and Oakwoods Country Club, Nick decided on a career change and is currently working through his Level 1 work in the PGA's PGM program, with the goal of attaining his Class A PGA status. With Nick's prior experience, Nick has also taken on the role as Clubhouse Operations Manager.
